Event Details
Attendees must complete our Liability Waiver and Code of Conduct Agreement prior to registering for the class, if they have not done so already.
You must attend our Community Woodshop Orientation to register for this class.
The Community Woodshop is available to current PNA members who are 18+ years old. Woodworkers of all abilities are welcome. All listed dates cover the same necessary content. Registration closes 1 day before the first class session.
This 2-part, hands-on class is required for all PNA Community Woodshop users. Learn basic woodworking and tool safety principles to use the Community Woodshop during open hours. After attending the free 1-hour Community Woodshop Orientation, students can register for both sessions.
- Session 1 – Students use a jointer, planer, table saw, and chop saw to flatten, square, and cut a piece of wood to specific measurements.
- Session 2 – Students shape their wood piece from Session 1 into a small, useful project using the bandsaw, drill press, sander and router.
To use the shop during open hours, students must successfully complete both 3-hour sessions. Enrollment is limited to 4 students per class.
